If you or someone you know is unable to come to church, whether temporarily or for a long period of time, it is possible for you to receive the Anointing of the Sick, Confession or Holy Communion at home or in hospital. Get in touch with us and one of the Fathers will be happy to come and visit.

Hospital visits

If you are going into hospital, you might want to be anointed before you go in. When you go in, make sure that you let the hospital know you are a Roman Catholic and that you would be happy to have a visit from the Catholic chaplain. He will normally arrange for you to receive the sacraments regularly if you are in hospital for a long time. You can also let us know that you are going into hospital if you would like a visit from one of the Fathers.

Emergencies

If someone is in danger of death, it is important that they receive the Last Rites of the Church. In hospital, you should ask for the Roman Catholic chaplain to be called. In other situations, please phone 01865 315 800 immediately and let the Fathers know that it is an emergency.
