As well as the Masses each day, the round of prayer and devotions offered in our church help us deepen our prayer life.

Vespers

We sing Vespers in Latin on Sundays at 17:00, followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at 17:30.

We also sing Vespers on the evening before holy days of obligation and some other feasts at 18:30 (see the latest newsletter for details).

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed on Friday 17:00–18:00, ending with Benediction, and on Saturday 17:30–18:15. During Lent, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed each Saturday from 10:30–18:15.

We also celebrate certain feast days with Solemn Benediction at 18:30. See the latest newsletter for details.

Musical Oratories

We have Musical Oratories throughout the year to celebrate particular feasts or seasons. These are services of prayer following the pattern first established by our founder St Philip in 16th century Rome. They consist of readings, prayers and hymns on a particular theme. The Oratory choir sings at the Christmas Carol Service and the Passiontide Musical Oratory each year. Other Musical Oratories are led by the Parish choir, and usually take place on a weekday at 6:30pm. See the latest newsletter for details of future Musical Oratories.

Other devotions

The Rosary is recited in church Monday to Friday after the 10:00 Mass.

There is a Blessing with St Philip's Relic after the 18:00 Mass on Mondays.

There are Stations of the Cross each Friday in Lent at 17:30.

There are devotions to Our Lady of Oxford after the 10:00 Mass on Saturdays.

See the latest newsletter for details of other special devotions throughout the year.
