Direct train services run to Oxford from London Paddington station: there are normally two fast trains per hour, which take around an hour to reach Oxford. Oxford is also on the cross country train network: there are regular direct services from many towns and cities throughout the country, including Birmingham, Manchester, York, Leeds, Bournemouth and stations in Scotland.
It takes about 15 or 20 minutes to walk to the Oratory from the station. When you arrive at the station, turn left and walk past the Said Business School, along Hythe Bridge Street, and then follow the road round onto Worcester Street. Then turn right at the traffic lights and walk up Beaumont Street. At the top of Beaumont Street, opposite the Randolph Hotel, turn left, and you are on St Giles. Thereafter, follow the general directions within Oxford.
Alternatively, taxis are usually available from the rank outside the station, or, during the day from Monday to Saturday, some buses from the station pass close to the Oratory.
Take the bus to Keble Road, and walk through the St Giles' churchyard to your left as you get off the bus. The Oratory is then almost opposite you, across the Woodstock Road. A few buses stop at the Radcliffe Infirmary instead: from there, walk back towards the city centre, and the Oratory is about 30 seconds away on the right.
