Ex ore infantium et lactentium

Alex Jacobs practises his sermon for this evening's Passiontide Musical Oratory.

The Musical Oratory is one of the distinctive marks of the Oratory, and was one of the ways in which St Philip Neri drew souls to God.

Neither a service nor a concert, the Musical Oratory uses sacred music, readings and informal ferverini to help us meditate on the things of God in an easy and attractive manner.

St Philip also use to get boys to preach sermons - perhaps with his characteristic wish of cutting the wise and important of this world down to size.
